WATER AND SAND SERIES
This series is inspired by the fact that I live along the lake and often walk on the beach and watch the activities there. I’m particularly fascinated with the interface of the water and the sand. Not necessarily the water by itself, not the sand by itself but where they come together making interesting patterns and shapes. Or, sometimes I’ll be out for a walk along a stream and I’ll watch how the water flows over some rocks or interferes with other things.
Sometimes I’ll use time exposure techniques in order to get a real flowing “fabricky” look to the water. Another time I might try to catch it in a sharp mode. But my main interest is where the water and other objects come together and how they interact.
